At Jack London State Historic Park, we believe passionately in the power of learning through experience and know that first-hand encounters with history and the natural world can foster a desire for life-long learning. Our education department is committed to providing quality learning experiences for visiting schools, homeschools, and camp groups. Our tour leaders are a knowledgeable team of trained docents who share stories about the life and adventures of Jack London and his beloved Beauty Ranch. We also offer Nature’s Design, a multiple-visit ecology program for 7th grade based on the Next Generation Science Standards for California. Coming soon, we will launch a 4th/5th grade program inspired by Common Core standards for language arts and Jack London’s own life story. Click below to learn more about each program or to book a visit.
"Visualization is everything for the teacher, and I love to teach, to transmit to others the ideas and impressions in my own consciousness."
