Field Trip Programs

At Jack London State Historic Park, we believe passionately in the power of learning through experience and know that first-hand encounters with history and the natural world can foster a desire for life-long learning. Our education department is committed to providing quality learning experiences for visiting schools, homeschools, and camp groups. Our tour leaders are a knowledgeable team of trained docents who share stories about the life and adventures of Jack and Charmian London and their beloved Beauty Ranch. We also offer Nature’s Design, a multiple-visit ecology program for 7th grade based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). We are delighted to be launching our newest school program, Adventures in Writing with Jack London, designed around the Common Core standards for language arts and literacy for elementary schools.
