About The Cruise of the Dazzler

An early Jack London book that combines a sailing adventure with a description of life in the San Francisco Bay Area. A young school boy, Joe Bronson, gets tired of school and leaves home to live a more exciting life working aboard a local yacht, the Dazzler. However, he soon finds himself engaged in illegal acts. Containing some realistic storm scenes, the story parallels Jack's own experiences as a young oyster pirate aboard his own boat, the Razzle Dazzle.
