Jack London first discovered the beauty of Sonoma Valley while visiting Glen Ellen in the summer of 1905. Within a year he had purchased 129 acres of land along Asbury Creek that eventually became part of his 1400 acre Beauty Ranch. Today his ranch is visited by more than 80,000 people each year who travel from all over the world to experience the valley that inspired one of the most famous writers of the 20th century. The Images of America series celebrates the history of the park with historic photographs from the Huntington Library archives, California State Park archives, and private collections.
