This secluded and private picnic area is partially shaded by magnificent oak trees, overlooking stunning views of the vineyards, historic stone barns, Beauty Ranch Meadow and the Sonoma Mountain Range. Oak Grove Overlook offers a stunning plateau that is perfect for ceremonies while adjoining Oak Grove picnic area offers rustic seating for a casual, al fresco wine country reception under the canopies of the coastal live oaks. Oak Grove is accessed by either a meandering gravel pathway from the ranch parking lot or an ADA accessible gravel pathway. Both options are about a 30-second walk.
There is no vehicle access directly to this site, but limited access for heavy items being dropped off or picked up can be coordinated through the Events Director.
Picnic tables are provided for seating of up to 94. There is no power at the site so if you are planning an event that continues after dark, you must rent free standing lighting with a silent generator. Amplified music is not permitted in the Oak Grove site, so it is not suitable for dancing. Acoustic music is permitted at this site.
There is one portable restroom located near this site, but it is available to all park visitors, so you have the option of renting a private unit for your event. Oak Grove Overlook and Picnic Area is ideal for corporate dinners and meetings, family reunions, casual picnics, ceremony-only weddings or small ceremonies with intimate receptions.
