How does the cold season transform and shape our familiar landscapes? How do plants and animals adapt to the cold? Find out as we spend time observing and learning about the little things we often overlook – ferns, mosses, mushrooms, lichens, bird song, leaf buds, leaf litter, insects, and any other interesting signs of life, including signs of the upcoming spring growing season as we take a 1.5-mile round trip walk to the Wolf House. The grand Wolf House burned 110 years ago and since that time plant life and critters have made their home on and around the ruins. Join us on this fascinating nature walk.
Bring water, snacks, layered clothing, good hiking shoes, optional poles, and a hand lens or binoculars for close-up viewing. Rain cancels.
