In recognition of Women’s History Month, we invite you to join us in celebrating the women whose lives, work, and creativity have helped shape the history and landscape of the park.
In the five short years Jack London lived at Beauty Ranch, he imagined it on a grand scale. That vision took root and endured through the labor, intelligence, and perseverance of two key women, Charmian Kittredge London and Eliza Shepard — who stewarded the dream, land, and legacy through upheaval and change, long after Jack London was gone. This two-hour tour of Beauty Ranch and the House of Happy Walls Museum invites visitors to step into their stories and discover how vision became an enduring reality.
