The Senior private tour of the Museum and Cottage begins any time between 11 am and 2 pm on weekdays and includes the House of Happy Walls Museum and the London’s historic Cottage where Jack penned many of his later books. Maximum group size is 20 people (rotating through the cottage in groups of 10) due to limited space inside the Cottage. This tour is designed with limited walking and groups are transported in their bus from the museum to the cottage.

Are you looking for a special experience for you and your friends, colleagues, or family? Jack London State Historic Park is pleased to offer private guided tours for adult and family groups, Monday through Friday. Our tours are led by experienced and knowledgeable docents who delight in sharing the London’s legacy and the natural beauty of the park with our visitors.
Each guided tour is approximately 2 hours in duration. For school and camp groups, please visit our Field Trips page under Tours & Education.
- All private group tours require advance online reservations at least 14 days before the requested tour date.
- Group size is limited to 40 visitors per tour (Senior Tour 20 visitors). Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your tour begins, to use the restroom facilities.
- A maximum of 20 visitors are allowed in the museum, and 10 in the Cottage, at one time. Groups larger than this will need to divide and rotate smaller groups through. Groups with reservations have priority entrance to the Cottage and Museum.
- Tours are available Monday-Friday only, excluding holidays.
Group tour requests must be submitted at least 14 days prior to the requested date.
Cancellation policy: You must cancel 24 hours in advance (before 5:00 pm) to receive a refund. Tours canceled due to extreme weather are exempt from the policy and will be re-scheduled or refunded. Our tour docent will plan to meet your group rain or shine, unless you cancel. Please call the park office at 707-938-5216 ext.1 as soon as possible if you need to cancel your tour.

Reservations
Only online reservations are accepted and they must be submitted at least 14 days before the requested tour date. Only one private group tour is accepted for each day and groups are limited to 40 (Senior tour 20). Reservations are confirmed upon payment in full and you will receive an e-mail response as confirmation. By submitting a reservation form, you agree to park rules outlined in the Group Leader’s Guide.
