Join Rebecca Lawton, long-time guide, author, and scientist, for a literary bird walk on Oona-pa’is (Sonoma Mountain). We’ll stroll to the site of Jack London’s lake (and beyond as time allows), looking for wild birds and musing on writing on and about the mountain before, during, and after Jack London’s time. This will be a slow-paced walk and recommended for ages 12 and above.
The distance we’ll cover will be based on the bird life we see but expect 1 to 3 miles round trip.
Please wear sturdy shoes and dress in layers. BYO water, optional snacks, and hiking poles. Binoculars are highly recommended.
Limited to 15 birders. Rain will cancel.
When: Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 9:00 to 11:30 am. Meet in the ranch parking lot on the right as you enter the park.
