Join us for a guided walk at Jack London State Historic Park to explore the fascinating world of mushrooms and other forest fungi.

During the walk, you’ll discover their unique features and gain insight into how these remarkable organisms interact with their environment. Whether you’re a naturalist or simply curious about the forest floor, this event offers something for everyone.

Come explore the world of fungi and deepen your appreciation for the intricate networks that support our forests.

When: Thursday, December 4, 2025, 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.

Where: Meet in the museum lot on the left as you enter the park

Admission: $15 *Park entrance fee not included ($10 per vehicle)

Event Detail: We’ll be travelling ~ 1.2 miles roundtrip on uneven terrain. Sturdy walking shoes and weather appropriate layers are recommended.

Spaces are limited, so be sure to register early!

Please note: This event focuses on mushroom ecology and identification only. Foraging or collecting mushrooms is not permitted in the park. We appreciate your help protecting the land’s natural resources and the experience of your fellow park visitors.
