“The air was filled with suspicion. No man was sure of his neighbor, and each was conscious that he stood in like unsureness with his fellows.” Jack London’s short story, “The Master of Mystery,” was published in 1901. The story is set in an Alaskan village where two shamans compete to find the missing blankets.
Join us as Jeff Falconer reads the story aloud under the shade of the majestic oaks in the Oak Grove picnic area. Refreshments will be served, followed by a lively discussion of the story.
Note: This event will be canceled due to either excessive heat or rainy conditions.
