  Not your average cider tasting!
For those in their 20’s or 30’s, today’s pace is often filled with screen time, meetup apps and busy schedules. Step out of the daily grind and into the wild beauty of Jack London State Historic Park. This isn’t just another meetup—it’s a chance to explore, connect, and recharge with like-minded people who are ready for something real. Trails, fresh air, and new friends await.
At a similar time in their lives, Jack and Charmian London were part of gatherings where artists, writers, and thinkers known as “The Crowd” gathered to exchange ideas, share their work, and enjoy spirited debates under the open sky.
This is a chance to recapture the spirit of the original group: a lively blend of intellectual exchange, storytelling, and shared experience rooted in place and community. Whether you’re new to the Valley or have long called it home, we invite you to join us for a day of connection, creativity, and community.

Join us on October 19, 2025 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. as we invite a new generation to join The Crowd!

Spend a crisp autumn afternoon immersed in the flavors, stories, and people behind Sonoma’s County’s cider and agricultural traditions. We’ll begin with a two-mile guided hike to the Historic Orchard, a living piece of the land’s farming history. Along the way, you’ll learn how this land is still producing and inspiring today.

At the orchard, you’ll hear from local experts who are shaping the future of farming and cider in the region. The experience wraps up with a curated cider tasting, paired with seasonal bites and good company beneath the fruit trees. *Non-alcoholic cider options will also be available.

Just as Jack and Charmian London once gathered friends for afternoons filled with conversation, we invite you to enjoy a modern-day version, with community at the heart of it all.

Featured Speakers:

Jack London Park Partners – Eric Metz
Eric, the Operations Director at Jack London Park Partners, has been leading the restoration and care of the Historic Orchard. He’ll share the orchard’s rich history and how it still produces fruit that benefits the Sonoma Valley community today.

Oak Hill Farm  Jimi Good
Jimi will be joining us for the day’s adventure to share insights from his work at Oak Hill Farm in Glen Ellen. He’ll talk about how their local team is carrying on a legacy of land stewardship through biodynamic farming in the valley.

Tilted Shed Ciderworks – David Ridenhour

David, the longtime tasting room manager and cellar assistant at Tilted Shed Ciderworks, will join us to share the story behind this beloved local cidery. He’ll bring his expertise to life as he leads us through a fun and flavorful cider tasting.
