About The Abysmal Brute

First appearing in Popular Magazine in 1911, this story follows London's previous tales which included The Game and " A Piece Of Steak".   In this story, a young boxer, Pat Glendon, is brought to San Francisco from a remote cabin in California to fight against more experienced fighters.  He quickly earns success but soon learns about the corruption and dishonesty that permeates professional fighting.
