Picnic Grounds

The group picnic grounds at Jack London State Historic Park offer the perfect setting for family and friends to gather for a casual get together or special celebration. Located within Beauty Ranch, the grounds are surrounded by beautiful vistas and historic buildings.
There are two group picnic areas that can be reserved:

Oak Grove Picnic Area

This secluded and private picnic area is shaded by magnificent oak trees, overlooking stunning views of the vineyards, historic buildings and Sonoma Mountain. Equipped with 2 barbeque grills, this area is accessed by a meandering gravel pathway from the ranch parking lot.

Day Use (10:00am to 4:00pm) or Evening Use (5:00pm to 10:00pm) 
Capacity: Up to 115 people seated or 150 for reception

Terrace Picnic Area

This unique venue, located next to Jack and Charmian's Cottage Garden offers 3 separate levels with picnic tables under shady oak trees. Views of the Beauty Ranch meadow, stone barns, and a hillside vineyard provide lovely alfresco dining for small group gatherings.
Reserved picnic day use from 10:00am to 4:00pm for up to 48 people. Call (707) 938-5216 for price quote.

Site Notes

  • All rentals & equipment must be removed from the park by10:00am the day after the event
  • Amplified music or any type is NOT permitted in the picnic areas
  • Picnic areas do not have lighting for events; additional lighting must be brought in for evening events
  • Electricity is not available in the picnic areas
  • NO SMOKING in the park except in the paved parking lot
  • Picnic areas do not have restroom facilities; portables must be brought in for each event
  • Vehicle access may be authorized for up to one truck for loading and unloading at picnic site
