Jack London State Historic Park - Picnic Areas

There are several picnic areas in the park: In the museum parking lot (turn left at the entrance station), picnic tables are placed in the center median of the parking lot. This area is great  for a quick picnic.

Individual picnic tables are also located at the Wolf House, in the shade beside the Beauty Ranch Meadow and at the Cottage. Use is first-come, first-served.

A short walk above the ranch parking lot, (turn right at the entrance station), there is a picnic area with several grouped tables, barbeque stands, and potable water. These picnic areas are sheltered by large shady oak trees, overlooking  Beauty Ranch.  Picnic area 1 and Picnic area 2 can be reserved.  If the sites are not reserved in advance they are available for all visitors.

Fees and capacities for the picnic sites are:

Site 1  $75 per day  Capacity 36-48  most private
Site 2  $60 per day  Capacity 30-40  (near site 1)
