Picnic site 3
There are several picnic areas in the park: In the "lower" parking lot (turn left at the entrance station), picnic tables are placed in the center aisle of the parking lot. This is for the quick picnic.
Individual picnic tables are also located at the Wolf House, in the shade beside the Beauty Ranch Meadow and at the Cottage. Use is first-come, first-served.
A short walk above the "upper" parking lot, (turn right at the entrance station), there is a picnic area with several grouped tables, barbeque stands, and potable water. These picnic areas are sheltered by large shady oak trees, overlooking Beauty Ranch. Weekdays all three sites can be reserved, weekends Picnic area 1 and Picnic area 2 can be reserved. If the sites are not reserved in advance they are available for all visitors.
Fees and capacities for the picnic sites are:
Site 1 $75 per day Capacity 36-40 most private
Site 2 $60 per day Capacity 48-50 (near site 1)
Site 3 $50 per day Capacity 36-40 reservable weekdays only
