Live like Jack London by treasuring the land while reveling in the beauty of spring with wildflower hike. This outdoor adventure will be led by naturalist John Lynch or Deborah Large and focus on the interconnected web of nature at the Park. Take an intermediate 4 to 8 mile hike, we’ll go where the wildflowers are best, on back country trails to discover a wider variety of wildflowers. With both you can expect to see Canyon Delphinium, Chinese Houses, Golden Fairy Lantern, Lupine, Popcorn Flower, Mules Ears as well as the birds, reptiles and other plants that make up the eco-system of the Park. Did you know that Jack London’s favorite wildflower was the California Poppy…sure to be in bloom. Our hikes are slow-paced so allow plenty of time, bring cameras, binoculars, poles, plenty of water, snacks and wear sturdy shoes. Be prepared for uneven ground.
Each outing is limited to 15 participants.
Rain will cancel.
HIKE: Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. Meet in the ranch parking lot
