Walk into Early Spring

Walk Into Early Spring

The focus will be on early spring wildflowers when you join park naturalist John Lynch on a slow paced 4 mile nature walk exploring the wildflowers, birds and other animals as they adapt to the early spring conditions of the park. Some of the early bloomers we might see are Hounds Tongue, Indian Warrior, Star Lily, Canyon Delphinium, Milkmaids and Western Trillium.  Explore nature with us during this beautiful season of the year.

We suggest you wear sturdy shoes, bring water, snacks and binoculars on this 3 hour, moderate walk on uneven ground, that is for all ages 15 and up.

WHEN: Saturday, March 10th from 10 am to 1:00 pm
WHERE: Meet in the ranch parking lot of Jack London State Historic Park
2400 London Ranch Road in Glen Ellen

Admission is $10 per person (an additional parking fee of $10 per car is collected at kiosk upon entering). We have planned many events this year so it may be the time for you to buy a yearly Jack London Park pass for $49.00 which is good in Jack London State Historic Park and Sugarloaf Ridge State Park?
